We have loved working in the for-purpose sector for the last 14 years and we have seen the impact that effective corporate philanthropy can have in society and the wider community.
We support corporate entities of all sizes to do more and better corporate philanthropy and community giving. How do we do this? Well, this is how……
Establish the WHY - why should your business do corporate philanthropy, what are you trying to achieve by engaging in it? work with key stakeholders to determine the driving forces / reasons behind wanting to ‘give back’ and establish clarity on the outcomes and impact you want to have. We help you define a clear startegic intent behind your giving and what success means to your business.
WHAT are you going to support - we look at how you establish what causes you want to support and who you want to partner with, who can you collaborate with
HOW are you going to do it - what will you do - grant funds, workplace giving, volunteer days, who will manage it, what resoiurces are you going to commit to your community giving function, what will its governance structure be etc.
LEGAL STRUCTURE - will you set up a PAF, a PuAF, will you start a charity entity yourself or will you just donate a % of prodits each year? The options are greater than you’d expect and are important to get right
WHEN - when should you start, when do you roll out an implmentation plan, when should you grow, when should you review what you are doing and the impact you are having.
Some things to think about……
When thinking about how effective your existing corporate philanthropy is, or where do you start if you don’t currently have anything set up, here are some things to consider:
what are my options about what I could be doing?
how do I select my cause areas?
how do I select my charity partners?

Good360 provide an online tool which allows charities to access goods donated by businesses at a fraction of their cost - the charity only pays the shipping & handling costs of transporting the goods to their preferred location. This saves charities huge amounts of money in their running costs, is great for companies to ensure obsolete or unused stock does some good, and serves the environment by making sure goods don't end up in landfill. What's not to love?

The Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) organisation was established in 1987 thanks to funding from the UNHCR, to meet the increasing demand for legal assistance to people seeking asylum in Australia. RACS operates as an independent community legal centre, to provide free and specialist legal services for asylum seekers and refugees.
We were engaged by RACS to review their finance function, and to recommend appropriate changes.
